Granton Community Gardeners
Granton Community Gardeners: Local people growing, cooking and eating food together.
We are a community led charity based in North Edinburgh.
We create and cultivate community gardens, host community meals and events, support anyone in the area who wants to grow food, and think creatively about how best to make sure everyone in our area is fed well.
IMPORTANT: DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK WE HAVE SUSPENDED ALL OUR REGULAR GARDENING DROP INS, COMMUNITY MEALS AND OTHER EVENTS.
WE ARE WORKING CLOSELY WITH OTHER LOCAL ORGANISATIONS TO COORDINATE FOOD PROVISION FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS IT.
We are currently distributing some food from our community garden (10 Wardieburn Road) on Fridays 12.00-1.30pm. We sometimes have bread, eggs, and vegetables, and some frozen ready meals from Scran Academy (thanks to Pilton Community Health Project). If you are isolating or have any covid symptoms please don't come to the garden.
If you are at home in North Edinburgh and stuck for food, we recommend calling the Freshstart helpline: 0131 356 0220
THE BAKERY IS OPEN AS USUAL, AND BREAD WILL BE ON SALE VIA THE WINDOW AT PILTON COMMUNITY HEALTH PROJECT every SATURDAY 10am-2pm. (on Pilton Drive North, just round the corner from Boswall Parkway)
